Welcome Message

Hello Everyone! And welcome to our class website. I am so excited to be starting another year at Dennis Township Primary School, and even more excited to be teaching first grade! I know that we are going to have a great year together filled with lots of learning, loads of fun, and tons of wonderful memories.

My name is Kasey Eykyn and I am a graduate of Rowan University. I received a Master of Science in Teaching degree from Rowan in August of 2008. I began teaching in Dennis Township 13 years ago when I taught Kindergarten, and I have taught first grade for the past 12 years. I feel extremely fortunate to have become a part of the DT family over these past years, there is no other one like it.

I believe that being a teacher is a great honor, and I am honored to be the one who has been given the opportunity to instill in your child a love of learning. My promise to you is that I will treat each of them as if they were my own, and that each day when you hand them over to me they will be safe and cared for.

My mission is to create a safe, supportive environment in our classroom that promotes academic excellence. My student's are encouraged to meet their maximum potential, and I will do anything I possibly can to help them accomplish this task. They will not only be taught content and curriculum, but also how to be good citizens. They will learn fairness, respect, helpfulness, responsibility, kindness, and consideration through being part of the community that is our classroom.

This will for sure be a remarkable year for all of us! I cannot put into words how excited I am, and how honored I feel to be your child's teacher. I am looking forward to meeting all of you and working as a team to make this school year a successful one.
